So sorry to report that we didn't get email from Andrew yesterday. We were disappointed, but not actually surprised, since he warned us on Christmas when we Skyped with him that since New Years is such a huge holiday there in Russia that he might not be able to send email this week. Apparently, the missionaries are asked to stay in their apartments during the height of the festivities.
Anyway, I will report that we had a great conversation with Andrew on Christmas. He sounded great (and apparently remembers at least some English!) He looks great and seems very happy. If anyone happened to mention anything about how many days until he would be home, he would say things like, "Oh no, we're not talking about that! I'm not coming home until next year! That's a long ways away!"
FYI - it's 34 days until he gets home - because although he's not counting down, we definitely are! One month from this Friday! Woo Hoo!
